The war against managed democracy in Helldivers 2 is escalating quickly. Angel’s Venture has been torn apart by the Meridian Singularity, and our only hope of stopping it currently lies within the Terminid-infested horror of The Gloom. Quickly calling in stratagems with a few Bile Titans barrelling towards you is tricky business and can often be the difference between a successful extraction and becoming bug chow. Thankfully, there’s an awesome tool in the Helldivers’ arsenal that may help turn the tide: your phone.

The Elgato Stream Deck is a popular PC accessory for streaming and workflow efficiency that costs $149.99. Alternatively, the company has a free mobile app available for iOS and Android devices that works just the same, and can be adapted to quickly string together inputs to call down Stratagems in a hurry. While it would be relatively easy to set up these macros yourself, user CrashKoeck has developed a free profile for Stream Deck that includes the button combos for every Stratagem in the game, complete with corresponding icons.

Getting the profile to work requires you to remap a couple of key binds in your Helldivers 2 settings, but once you’ve done that, you’ll have the power to call in all of your favorite orbital firepower at the press of a button. The free version of the Stream Deck mobile app limits you to just six buttons, but you can cleverly add multiple pages and folders to expand that capability.
