TVS Jupiter CNG – What’s New
While everyone was waiting for Honda to launch the new Activa CNG in the country, TVS seems to be ahead now. That said, TVS has now debuted its new Jupiter CNG in India. The new Jupiter becomes the World’s first CNG scooter.
Starting with its specifications, the new model gets a 1.4kg CNG tank unit. The tank is placed at the underseat boot in the regular Jupiter. That means now Jupiter has lost its underseat storage space. Apart from that, the scooter has a floorboard mounted, 2-litre petrol tank too. The new Jupiter CNG is powered by a 124.8cc engine making 7.1-bhp and 9.4Nm torque. TVS claims the model to offer a range of 226 km (petrol + CNG).

Design
Talking about the new scooter, it retains its design characteristic from the petrol powered Jupiter 125. That said, you will find all other details such as its features to ergonomics, brakes everything same to its full petrol iteration. The only thing that changed is the powertrain! Yes! The CNG tank to be precise.

Launch
Currently the brand is in the development stages. TVS has said that this is the concept version. That said, there are still no communications from the brand as to when the new Jupiter CNG will be launched in India.
