When is Chaos Shuffle back in DBD? While our vanilla live-service games still have us coming back time and again, there’s nothing like a good limited-time modifier to stop things getting stale. When it comes to Dead by Daylight, one of the best modes for shaking things up is Chaos Shuffle, which places you into each match with a loadout of completely random perks.
Dead by Daylight perks are among the best things to give you the edge in the multiplayer game, and choosing just the rights ones – whether you play as a DBD killer or survivor – can turn the game around. Some perks have great synergy with others, some help you survive or kill, and others can improve or impede teamwork. It’s usually essential that you plan your perfect loadout, so going into a match with completely random perks can have a devastating impact. That’s what Chaos Shuffle is all about, and we can’t wait for it to return.

DBD Chaos Shuffle dates
The Dead by Daylight Chaos Shuffle mode is live right now, and runs until March 31, 2025. The surprise event dropped on March 18.
This non-themed event is a smaller, interim event. It wasn’t announced before its arrival and doesn’t have an event tome or rewards, which is unusual. This event is the second DBD Chaos Shuffle of 2025, following the grander Dungeons and Dragons crossover. The modifier itself had a D&D theme, included a new bundle of Dungeons and Dragons shop cosmetics, and free rewards available from the Event Tome were also based on the TTRPG.
In DBD Chaos Shuffle, players now see a perk reveal animation at the start of every match to better alert you to your random perk loadout. You can also check out your perks as you load into the map, preparing yourself for the match as it starts.

DBD Chaos Shuffle rewards
There are no Chaos Shuffle rewards this time. The previous event’s rewards were:
- Dragon charm
- Dragon badge
- Dragon banner
That’s everything we know about the next Dead by Daylight Chaos Shuffle release so far, but we’ll update you as soon as more information becomes available. In the meantime, check out the upcoming Junji Ito DBD cosmetics arriving in the horror game, and make sure you’ve redeemed the latest DBD codes and DBD Twitch drops for ever more free in-game items.
