One of the first real dilemmas you face in The Blood of Dawnwalker occurs before you’ve ever left your village. One of the residents has been tasked with creating an unholy banner for your vampiric overlords, but it’s gone missing. Unless you put your detective hat on and find it, the consequences could be dire for everyone involved.
The Blasphemy mission in The Blood of Dawnwalker is an early challenge, but completing it could put you in good stead for the rest of what the RPG has to offer. Here’s where you need to go and who you need to talk to to find the banner and save Gremla from a grizzly fate.
Blasphemy mission walkthrough
Here are the mission steps for the Blasphemy mission in The Blood of Dawnwalker:
- Investigate Gremla’s shed and its surroundings
- Search for villagers with walking canes
- Speak with Otokar
- Speak with Dana
- Speak with Premysl
- Report back to Gremla
Approaching Gremla’s shed, you’ll notice a crowd has formed. This is where she’ll tell you about the banner and about its disappearance. Activating focus mode, you’ll be able to see some odd footprints, a cane, and some blood – this narrows down who we’re looking for.
Following focus mode might be a bit of a red herring here – there aren’t any other clues around the shed. Speak to the man outside of the shed, who, unfortunately, offers very little information other than who to speak to next.
Head down the hill and speak to the man tending to the field on the right side of the road, and another sitting near his house on the left. From here, head back up the hill and speak to Dana, who lets us know that Premysl has been acting oddly.
Premysl is the man we’re looking for – he stands against the act of creating the banner, but perhaps hasn’t thought of the consequences. His actions are an act of defiance, but they will also cause a lot of pain for his fellow villagers. Speak to him and convince him to hand the banner back to Gremla.
No harm, no foul; Gremla won’t tell on Premysl and is eternally grateful to us for saving her life. The banner is pretty grim, but having it up is better than being drained; that’s for sure.
