Nithiin recently came up with the action comedy entertainer Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula. Since Robinhood marked the second collaboration between Nithiin and Venky Kudumula after the superhit Bheeshma, initially there were reasonable expectations. Nithiin left no stone unturned for the promotions, but the pre-release material and songs didn’t impress the audience.
Hence, Robinhood had a below-par opening and eventually crashed at the box office due to bad word of mouth. The latest news is that Robinhood will be available for streaming on ZEE5 from May 10th. The OTT platform didn’t make any announcement on its social media handles, but the digital release date was listed on its catalogue.
Sreeleela played the female lead, and this is her second film with Nithiin after Extraordinary Man. Mythri Movie Makers backed this flick. Robinhood also stars Devdatta Nage, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Shine Tom Chacko, Aadukulam Naren, Mime Gopi, and Subhaleka Sudhakar in pivotal roles. G.V. Prakash Kumar composed the tunes.
