Despite being an AI-generated game idea that doesn’t exist, Bird Game 3 continues to tear up TikTok with millions of likes and views. In this fictional open-world game, you “play” as a bird of your choosing and fly, fight, and compete for resources with fellow players. The fact that Bird Game 3 doesn’t actually exist is part of the bit — it’s an absurdist commentary on the industry’s trends and hype cycles. Yet some game developers see this excitement as an opportunity to get their name on the map, and are starting to build out actual games that you can play. Though these projects are in the early stages, the visibility they’re amassing rivals that of big-budget games made by highly esteemed studios.
Have you heard of ururur_games? I’m guessing the answer is no. The TikTok account promoting the journey by two game developers to make Bird Game 3 has only existed for two days as of this writing. And yet, the announcement of this game project has 3.2M views and counting:
To put this into perspective, the first trailer for 007 First Light has 4.5M views on YouTube after five months, whereas the initial footage of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls has 3.1M clicks. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was one of the hottest announcements of 2025, but you’d have to combine the views of several trailer videos to get what this single Bird Game 3 announcement has. Obviously, Bird Game 3 isn’t anywhere near rivaling, say, the hype around Grand Theft Auto 6. But gaming studios spend fortunes on getting the type of attention Bird Game 3 is generating through sheer word of mouth.
So far, ururur_games has shown off an early and humble forest area in their version of Bird Game 3. “Please don’t expect too much yet,” the developers caution as they remind fans they’ve got zero budget. Still, fans can go ahead and play a beta version of Bird Game 3 that’s got multiplayer and everything. “Pick your favorite species, team up with other players, and battle it out in chaotic real-time matches where quick thinking and skill make all the difference,” the Google Play store teases.
ururur_games, however, is one of many attempting to bring Bird Game 3 to market.
Another group dubbed Wood Finch Studios also announced their undertaking in late November, and are taking a more creative tack to make their game stand out. The developers are playing into the fiction that Bird Game 3 is lost media, posing their crack as an Unreal Engine 5 recreation of the retro game ‘everyone’ knows and loves. Initially, the project was just one guy. After announcing Bird Game 3, other developers saw the excitement and threw their hats into the ring. The studio is now hoping to release a demo sometime in early 2026. Much like the other Bird Game 3 by ururur_games, Wood Finch Studios’ early drafts see an eagle exploring a vast natural area. This version of Bird Game 3 almost looks like an open-world game you’ve already played. Probably, it’s that the engine and its assets are a popular pick for new and ambitious game projects.
Not all attempts at jumping on the Bird Game 3 trend are entirely new developments. Solo developer ragbell, for example, was serendipitously already working on a multiplayer bird survival game. The developer is hopping on the bandwagon to tell people about his in-progress game, which has PVP elements and a significant focus on building and crafting. The move has allowed ragbell’s videos to go from a few thousand views to over a million, even as he tells people this isn’t the Bird Game 3 they are expecting:
Commenters don’t seem to care. Most of the replies to ragbell’s latest videos are people urging the developer to add details characteristic of Bird Game 3, like a playable hummingbird. As the attention accrues, ragbell is toying with playing to the crowd. The developer says he is considering adding things like a “capture the flag mode” to appease the interest in a more competitive game featuring birds.
Really, TikTok is full of people claiming they are the true creators of Bird Game 3. The feeding frenzy makes sense. For one thing, AI tools make “vibe coding” possible, meaning that people don’t have to actually know how to code to get something up and running. The viability of the project doesn’t matter yet, so long as the visuals look good enough — which AI tools can ensure. If anything, developers are counting on rough edges to make dev logs approachable.
Plus, if someone manages to make a Bird Game 3 that audiences respond to, they might make out like bandits. At least, that has been the case for sensations like Steal a Brainrot, the Roblox / Fortnite game mode that is estimated to make millions a month.

Meanwhile, viral videos of Bird Game 3 run the gamut when it comes to genres. It’s a MOBA, it’s an exploration game, it’s a shooter, it’s a fighting game. It’s everything and anything you want it to be. Bird Game 3 has caught on because it can be anything people want it to be, provided they’ve typed a decent enough prompt into apps like Sora. But can anyone make a game that matches the fantasy people have in their heads?
An indie developer may well craft a Bird Game 3 that’s genuinely good, but it might not matter. Bird Game 3 fiction is heavily rooted in nostalgia. People love thinking about Bird Game 3 as a part of a once-mighty franchise that’s either fallen off or lost to the world entirely. What people are clinging to here is the notion of a better time.
