What is planned for the InZOI roadmap? Life’s a chore, and there’s a long road ahead if you want to sign up as an AR employee and watch over your very own city of Zois. Much like The Sims before it, the team at Krafton plans to bring an abundance of new content to InZOi over a long period.

The highly anticipated life game is being released into early access on the initial InZOI release date, meaning there are still plenty of changes and improvements in the pipeline. Based on our InZOI impressions, these updates can’t come soon enough, so we’re looking ahead to what’s arriving in the InZOI roadmap.

InZOI roadmap details

Four major updates have been confirmed so far, taking us up to December 2025. We know more updates are scheduled for 2026, but the developers haven’t confirmed what they’re likely to feature.

Free DLC has also been promised during the early access period, though it’s also unclear what this entails. It’s important to remember that these planned updates are subject to change, so there’s a possibility that some features may be delayed or even scrapped entirely.

InZOI Update 1 May 2025

The May 2025 InZOI update is set to include:

  • Modding
  • Cheat codes
  • Dynamic weight and muscle changes
  • Relationship improvements
  • Adoption system
  • Build mode improvements
  • New furniture
  • Create-A-Zoi improvements
  • New outfits

One of the biggest upcoming additions to InZOI is the introduction of mods. The modding community for The Sims is one of the biggest and most committed, and, given the obvious parallels between the iconic franchise and InZOI itself, we can be sure the same will be true here. Maya and Blender are both being incorporated into the InZOI modding system, suggesting that custom content will be available soon. Fans of money cheats and god mode can also rejoice, as InZOI cheats arrive in May as well.

Meanwhile, also in the May update, your Zois will be able to see dynamic changes to their bodies by working out and going to the gym. Zois also gain the option to adopt children, and much-needed improvements are set to be made to relationships.

InZOI Update 2 August 2025

The August 2025 update includes:

  • Ghost mode
  • Swimming pools
  • Improved city editing resources
  • AI Build Mode
  • Freelancer jobs
  • Improved text messages
  • Improved skills
  • Parenting changes

The second update, scheduled for August 2025, is probably the biggest announced so far. Alongside more InZOI tattoos in the Create-A-Zoi menu, swimming and pools are coming to the simulation game. A new mode is also being added for when your Zoi dies, allowing you to control their ghost.

InZOI Update 3 October 2025

The October 2025 update includes:

  • Family tree
  • Hotkey customization
  • UX improvements when moving home
  • Build mode changes
  • New furniture
  • Create-A-Zoi improvements
  • Mod updates

In update three, things settle down a bit, with regular additions to furniture and outfits complimenting vital changes to the house-moving UI. You’ll also be able to customize your keybinds.

InZOI Update 4 December 2025

The December 2025 update includes:

  • Memory system
  • The ability to move cities
  • Trait-based interaction responses
  • Indoor temperature
  • Build Mode improvements
  • New furniture
  • Create-A-Zoi improvements
  • New outfits
  • Mod updates

Finally, in December, we’re getting the ability to move to a new city. Currently, you must choose a city after you create your Zoi, and your Zoi must stay here without the option of moving to a new locale. We expect this to be a huge change, especially with the arrival of cat city Kucingku in August, as confirmed during the livestream.

2026 and beyond

In a recent livestream, InZOI director Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim confirmed that update five will arrive in May 2026. Kjun also stated that new furniture and outfits would be released every three months, so we can at least expect new customization items.

InZOI DLC

The new city of Kucingku is the only confirmed DLC so far, but Kjun has promised that all DLC and updates will be free of charge during the early access period. Kucingku, or the cat city, launches in August 2025 to celebrate Cat Day. Inspired by Indonesia, Kucingku is “known for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life.” However, the main draw for cat fans is likely to be the ability to interact with the many stray cats roaming the island.

So far, that’s all we know about the InZOI roadmap. You can still get started on your own InZOI world in the meantime, as long as you meet the hefty InZOI system requirements. If you do, we’ve got guides to help you get stuck Zois unstuck, call over other Zois, and use an InZOI First Aid Kit to heal a sick Zoi.
