PALAKKAD: Lady Luck smiled on a deaf and dumb person when informed of winning a lottery. Krishnankutty, a daily wage labourer of Bheemanadu Perimbadari won the first prize of one crore of Kerala Government’s Samrudhi Lottery. The lottery draw was held yesterday. It is double joy for him as the news came on the day of his son’s house warming function.
Krishnankutty often buys three four tickets together. He had earlier won small prizes. He has a wife and three children. Yesterday was his son Aneesh Babu’s house warming function.
He won the prize for the ticket MV122462 bought from Mambetta Abdu, a lottery seller in Perimbadari. He bought four tickets together. Abdu himself informed Krishnankutty of winning one of the tickets. The ticket has been handed over to the South Indian Bank.
