It’s Season 1 all over again. Warzone is refreshing its seasonal content, and with that comes a bevy of new maps for both Battle Royale and Resurgence modes, a host of weapons and gadgets to try, and some very niche cover mechanics. It also resets your player level.
Warzone is taking plenty of cues from the Modern Warfare 4 campaign with its two new maps – Hajin is the new BR map and should be familiar to anyone who stepped foot in DMZ, while Zodiac is the base for Resurgence.
The former is that fine line between North and South Korea, and is a great mix between high-rise commercial buildings, residential outcroppings, and dense military bases. There are plenty of opportunities for rotations either by land or sea, with the coastal regions and inlets offering a different approach to the standard on-foot-hope-nothing-happens methods my squad usually takes.
The latter map, Zodiac, drops players in and around a drone manufacturing plant and, according to the deep dive, offers a mixture of chunky industrial buildings and claustrophobic underground tunnels. There are old mines to explore, solar farms, and an R&D department, which kind of just sounds like an office to me, but that’s fine too.
Zodiac does have one of the best Warzone map features, though: a train. I love the train on Verdansk – it’s the reset button for me and mine if things get a bit too serious. Drop train, just see how long we can go without perishing. Here’s hoping the Zodiac railway pans out in a similar fashion.
Warzone Season 1 is also adding some more slightly niche options when in a gunfight. There is movable cover, which looks to be large garbage containers on wheels (other covers may be available). I quite enjoy the idea of pushing an enemy with a huge trash can, but I can’t see it being overly effective, especially when I’m vulnerable from literally any direction other than forward.

The new zipline launcher strikes fear into my heart, as it gives other, probably more online squads more options with which to land right on my head. Neat idea, though, especially in the dense, high-rise area of Hajin. The full rundown of changes can be found right here if you’re interested.
If new maps aren’t your thing (we’ve been burned before), then fear not, as Verdansk and Rebirth Island are coming back in a mid-season update, with the OG Warzone map sporting some new POIs to boot. Warzone Season 1 comes out on November 6, 2026.
