A third-party achievement website recently uploaded a huge list of upcoming games, including some titles that have yet to be announced, following what appears to be a leak on Steam‘s end. A person claiming to be the owner of Exophase – the achievement-tracking site in question – has taken to ResetEra to claim that it “seems like a possible screw-up on Valve’s end.”
“A bunch of games with achievements that should be private are accessible through the API right now, and that’s why they got scanned into the site.” The list includes a ton of known titles – things like Fable, Final Fantasy: Resonance, and Silent Hill: Townfall – but it also rings the bell on a few things that weren’t known.
While we won’t be linking to the list here (I’d rather not include a bunch of potential spoilers), the achievements for Kingdom Hearts 4 are in there, which allegedly include several story spoilers and some locations Square Enix hasn’t announced yet. Persona 6 doesn’t have a hint of a release date yet, but its achievements are there for everyone to see, and there’s an unannounced Tetris game floating about, too.
PCGamesN has reached out to Valve for a statement, and will update this article if we receive a response. As with any leak, however, take it with a pinch of salt, but if you’re looking forward to any of the above titles, maybe stay away from the internet for a few days.
