Rayman Legends is one of those videogames I constantly find myself returning to. I’ll jump back in multiple times a year to start a fresh save and swiftly remember why I fell in love with it in the first place. Ubisoft’s platformer is by far my favorite entry in the genre, even over a decade since launch. If you’ve never played it, not only does it have some of the freshest ideas you’ve ever seen, but it’s also jam-packed with content. Now’s the perfect time to try it, too, as Ubisoft adds Legends to the ever-growing list of its games with Steam achievements.

Ever since Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows was coming to Steam on day one, the company has been on a mission to revitalize its presence on Valve’s platform. Reintegrating achievements has been a huge part of this goal, as entries in the Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, and Far Cry series have all been expanded to include them. Rayman Legends is the latest in the trend, but that also makes it the perfect time to try the platform game.

Legends returns to the character’s 2D roots and greatly expands on them. The controls are fast and fluid, each level is filled with fresh mechanics that never outstay their welcome, and there are myriad secrets to discover. Ubisoft even introduced stages based on famous songs (that you play to their rhythm), and these are honestly worth the asking price alone.

Not only that, but Legends also has a collection of levels from the first game in the series, Rayman Origins, giving you even more bang for your buck. It’s an incredibly well-rounded experience filled to the brim with things to do, and every task you complete feels incredibly fulfilling. So if you’re looking for a truly stellar game to help you earn some more achievements, look no further.

“We are pleased to announce that Steam Achievements are now available for Rayman Legends,” Ubisoft writes on Valve’s platform. “As a heads up, achievements will be retroactively earned for the accomplishments already completed in your game. For the sync to happen you need to launch the game once, and the previously unlocked Ubisoft Connect achievements will be automatically unlocked on Steam.

“To ensure that you can complete 100% of the Steam Achievements for Rayman Legends, we’ve removed eight achievements that required online services that are no longer available for the game,” Ubisoft writes.

If you want more, we’ve also got all the best co-op games and best indie games, which are sure to keep you busy.
