Production of the Harrier.ev appears to be underway.
Tata Motors has at least three new electric SUVs in the pipeline, including the Harrier.ev. It will be launched before the end of this fiscal as a rival to the Mahindra XEV 9e.
Prototypes of the Harrier.ev have already been spotted testing in India. While Tata Motors has been tight-lipped about it, reports suggest that the Harrier.ev might get a 60 kWh battery pack offering a range of 500 km.
Well, we have now learnt that the Harrier.ev will actually come with a 75 kWh battery pack. It will feature a dual-motor AWD configuration and is likely to be offered in the ‘Empowered’ trim. According to our sources, production of the Harrier.ev appears to be underway.
Spy images suggest that the overall design of the Harrier.ev will be similar to the ICE version. The electric SUV will share the same bodyshell, albeit with minor changes, including a blanked-out front grille and aero-optimized alloy wheels.
The interior will be largely similar to the standard Harrier. It will also have Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.
